It has some updated information on ISIS which shows Mr. Hitchcock seeks out his information to some degree. However, his stubborn refusalto search the scriptures on prophecy matters is evident as he quotes the teachings of authors of almost 50 years ago. True, prophecy will hold up under centuries of criticism, but coping the believes of men who sold many books and later were found to have error, is not what I sought when I bought this book. I am sorry I invested into this book.

I agree, every Christian should read this book. Also, anyone who is not a Christian who would like insight into what role ISIS is playing in world events and Bible prophecy should read the book. The book has a very helpful combination of in depth information about ISIS, Iran and Israel, which is paired with Scripture, to shed light on where some current events appear to be heading in regard to Bible prophecy. I also agree that the information in the book is eye-opening. There are a lot of facts included in the book that I have not seen reported in the news. Some of these are included in the book as timelines and quotes-easy enough to verify. Also, the author makes some points in the book that need to be made that are not being made elsewhere, but are on a lot of minds. I'm glad Mark Hitchcock did not shy away from stating these points. I will be reading my copy again very soon.

Mark Hitchcock knows his prophecy which is no surprise as all his books shows his in depth knowledge of the Bible and prophecy. As this book is current to events happening, you will see that we are in the last days of the end times.

This book was very helpful for me to get some understanding of what's going on over there. I plan to read it again as there is a lot of information. The book itself is fairly short and to the points which I found helpful.

This book is relevant and insightful in viewing the challenges and issues in the Middle East through the lens of Biblical prophecy. Students of the Bible should definitely include this on their reading list.

Love this book series!!! So great to teach our Indian culture to Indian-American kids! It would be awesome to see more festivals represented (e.g., Christmas in India, Sankranti, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc.). Also, what would really be cool is if Neel and Maya visited each state in India and learned about their food, culture, clothing, language, important sights to see, etc. India is such a beautifully diverse country, and it would be great to showcase the diversity of each state in this book series so that Indian American kids can be proud of their heritage!

Very well done! I have purchased all 4 books in the Maya & Neel series so far and it has been a great way to educate my 3 year old daughter about various festivals celebrated in India. Looking forward to more books!

My 5 year old son is hooked on this series! He loves reading about Maya & Neel & the little squirrel Chintu! We are a multi-cultural family and I spend a lot of time trying to find fun kids books about different cultures and religions. This one is fantastic! It's fun to read because they take you through the Ramadan & Eid holidays from beginning to end from the kids perspective so you really feel like you are experiencing it as part of the family too! My son learned a lot reading this and is already excited for the next adventure of Maya & Neel in India!

This book is so helpful, informational, and fun to read! Not only as a Muslim who likes to teach people about her faith and culture, but also as an elementary teacher! I had my students read the book and they LOVED it! They loved the characters Maya, Neel, and Chintu. They were very interested in why Muslims fast during Ramadan because they know that their teacher does. Reading this book really helped me in explaining to my kids how and why Muslims believe so much in fasting. I purchased for my mom, dad and fiancé. For anyone struggling with bad habits, wanting the secret of success, this is it. My life will never be the same.UPDATE: 72 days after reading this book I've accomplished things that were on my to-do list for 4 years. It really gave me a kick in the pants and helped me see how I was wasting each day. I highly recommend this book for people who have struggled with procrastination or "I'll do it tomorrow" syndrome.

I have to agree with the few reviews that point out how long-winded this book is. Let me save you some money and summarize for you:There is no magic bullet. Success is achieved by repeating small disciplines and taking small, ever-increasing steps.The basic message and practical instruction in this book could have been condensed into about 10 pages and have been no less powerful. Instead every chapter is basically a repetition of the same thing, with endless anecdotes about well known and not so well known people and how they have applied the principles. I managed to read diligently up to about chapter 5, when I finally caught on that I was being sold the same thing in different words or from a slightly different angle in just about every chapter.Hint: if you have read/watched anything by the likes of Jim Rohn or Brian Tracy, this book will offer you nothing new.Moral of the story: if you want to change your life, start today. It starts with one pushup that becomes two tomorrow. One dollar invested instead of spent on nonsense. One healthy meal instead of the junk you usually eat. Show up, repeat and grow.That's the Slight Edge. Good luck.

this was required reading for a conference that I recently attended...I highly recommend it...sent a copy to my daughter, who recently graduated from college...it really makes the case for the proposition that it's the little things that you do every day that make a difference...over time, the little things add up...these things are just as easy NOT to do as they are to do so just do them...takes focus off of seeing immediate and huge results, which, when not seen, often leads to people giving up...keeps focus on doing the little things each and every day with the mindset that "slow and steady wins the race"...

Save yourself the time and the money, there is nothing life changing here. Every other self-help book says these things in 2 chapters what took Jeff a whole book. It is endlessly repetitive, all he really says is work hard and getting good at something takes a long time. Mastery by Robert Greene is a much better book to learn that same lesson.He just uses the words "Slight edge" to justify why only 5% people are successful without every quantifying or caring to elaborate on what exactly he means by slight edge. If you are at absolute rock bottom of your life and have never read a self-help book then yes this book might have some value for you but even then there are better contenders which more bang for your time and money.

I read this book 3 years ago and without me even knowing it, it set me on a path of personal growth and exploration that I could have never dreamed of. As a result of reading this book, I committed to reading 10 pages of a good book every day. From there, other little changes started flowing.Now, 3 years later, I've read (or listened to) over 40 great books, transformed the relationships I have with my friends and family, and has even inspired me to create my own Rise Up movement to pay it forward.So many people I've shared this book with tell me it's too repetitive, he just says the same thing again and again... That may be true, yet if you read it the way I did, one day, one chapter at a time, you will find that there's more than just knowledge in this book. Used that way it is a catalyst for action.One final note, this book came to me as a result of a friend giving it to me. He read it and thought it would be helpful for me. My transformation is the ripple effect of another man's transformation. That, and the slight edge change over the pastcouple3 years is enough of proof for me to know the power of this message and stick with it for the rest of my life. I'm 23 now... The Stand is my absolute favorite book. It has been ten years since I read it, and my memory isn't the best (surprised to see my city mentioned! Didn't remember that!), but this all feels so true to the book. Any changes made to adapt to graphic novel are fine. I'm definitely a happy fan. If you're on the fence, especially if the book has such a place in your heart as it does in mine, go for it. I'd be surprised to find you disappointed. SO glad I bought the collection. I'm ready for more! Who needs sleep? Also, I'm reading on kindle and have no issues on that note.

It's not as good as Jae Lee's Gunslinger, but that is an art thing, and frankly where it has its moments, and it's not bad art, it also doesn't really fit the story. It felt like I was reading a Spider man artist drawing a King adaptation and it made for a weird juxtaposition

Great adaption! Beautiful artwork too.Great quality binding and cover, but the gold lettering on the hardcover is a little off center. It's a shame because the hardcover is otherwise beautiful, I wish I could un-notice it.

Gotta love the illustrations to Stephen King's Classic Novel. I've read this before and it is nice to see another visual aspect to the story other than the one that I saw as I read it!

Who ever was the person who thought to put all the comics into one set was a great thinker. This is a great start to a wonderful story and the ideas that build on this base make a for a thought provoking adventure for all who read. The story is sound, the artwork is great. A wonderful collection in a great book. Ideal for anyone who is a fan of the story, the author or comics.

Nicely condensed graphic interpretation of my #1 fave. Storyline and wording faithful to the book. Off to read the second volume now!

Stays pretty true to the edition I read back in '92 or '93. The detail thats left out of the text is obviously filled in with the illustrations.
