This is a great book! Most recipes and quick and easy to prepare - most importantly, they are quite delicious! It is intended both for those who love Asian and Japanese recipes as well as those who are interested in eating the diet of the longest living people. Lots of recipes and lots of options to make your own. Overall, I would recommend this book for basic, good for you meals.

I really like about this book is that it is written for someone who is a beginner to the diet and the writing is concise with small chapters and straightforward info, no filler writing and in a quick unique way you will be presented with an amazing guide that will have you eating right in a delicious fashion and frankly, I did not feel like I was dieting and i know that for myself and family we love this book and it is defiantly a short read but with this particular diet I felt it digressed on the pertinent aspects of the Okinawa eating lifestyle and i found this book exactly how easy and good it would be to get a better handle on my diet and its healthy food but it sounds good and even better tastes good and in the past I was never a big Chinese or Japanese food person, but just reading the book and the descriptions, coupled with the health benefits had me convinced to at least try it and the author does a wonderful job of explaining the Pros and Cons of the Okinawa Diet in lay mans terms, unlike some other diet books that seem to speak a foreign language and the benefits of this diet are yet to be determined for me, but the author takes his time to explain every point so well that I believe that I will have no problem adhering to the Okinawa Diet and i am so excited to start this diet and something has to change for me!

Excellent healthy recipes, very easy to follow instructions, looking forward to eating like the Okinawans do in the near future.

The book lists lots of foods/recipes that are good for you, and I discovered that things I thought I would hate, like soy products, can be darned tasty, and there are a lot more healthy foods out there in the grocery store than I ever realized; I'm not going to get bored with my new eating habits.
