I like this book because it helped me with my test. This was the first time I took the test and I made a composite score of 109. It helped me with my test considering I only had a few days. It came in when it said it was going to. It's definitely a good buy.
My most favorite part about this particular study guide is the fact that the answers provides in depth explanation as to why that specific answer is correct. It also tells you what makes the wrong answer incorrect.

The author advises to summarize the main idea and then look for the details which support the main idea enunciated in the given fact patterns.The exercises include areas like Verbal, Math, Science, Biology, Chemistry and practice questions/model answers.The development of the science areas is quite complete with discussions of Simple Equations, Tables, Scatter Plots, Percentiles, Bar Graphs, Simple Probabilities and more exotic scientific areas like Proteins, Nucleic Acids, Oxidation/Reduction Equations, Lipids, Fats Phospholipids and more. The guide has a good discussion of Acids, Basic solutions and the Amphoteric pH levels.Overall, the Pax Study Guide is quite complete, inexpensive and easy to use and understand. The practice examples are very relevant and the solutions are explained well.
As I prepare for my nursing program I understand that I can't possibly have enough study materials! They being said, if you can only get 1 study guide, you can't go wrong with this one! The practice test questions & break down of the answers is so user friendly! There is no way that this study guide wouldn't help you improve your score! If your program is like mine, you only have 1 chance to get the best score you can. Are you going to chance it on a study guide that isn't comprehensive? I wouldn't! I've made copies of all of these practice tests already! I've learned so much just from these reviews! You really can't go wrong with this study guide.
This Nursing Pre Admission Examination Study Guide is a MUST for pre admission nursing students! It has LOTS of different practice tests that are on the actual exam. It's more current than the other ones (this one is for 2019-2020) and does not just give you the answers to their problems but explains how they got the answers in a way that pretty much ANYONE can understand. My suggestion is to make copies of the practice tests and to take the practice test a few times until you know how to do the problem on your own. This study guide is a must for anyone studying for their PAX exam!!
