This is so clever and inventive. I bought it for my granddaughter and really want to keep it for myself...but she is 5 1/2, and I'll let her have it. Wreck This Journal is also great and creative, but I think I will wait a bit to give it to her. The series seems to be a way to let children explore coloring outside the lines and being creative...might not be a bad lesson for adults either
I never even realized I was creative until this book came around. I absolutely love the idea of being able to do WHATEVER you want with this book. This book will save your life, it decreases anxiety and increased my excitement about life. If you are debating purchase please don't anymore!! It's 10$ at first but turns into a priceless item!
I love to journal but I find myself running out of topics... In the past many of my journals were just gripe books... Not a legacy I wish to leave... I see several other reviews talked about purchasing it for their kids or grandkids,. Not me I'm 60 years old and I bought it for myself... I love it!... I think my kids think I've gone mad sometimes when they see me totally around or setting it on fire or something... LOL... I had to grow up awfully fast as a kid... Not complaining it is what it is... But this is a perfect book to give yourself an excuse to do the things that maybe you couldn't do when you were younger... I have bought my book use due to financial reasons... But I have no complaints there either it was in great condition... I ended up buying several more of her books I should go ahead and reivew but they're all good... I haven't got to the end yet... Kind of jumped around in a couple more for other books too that Miss Smith wrote... My husband has cancer and is homebound... But we find ourselves enjoying some of the activities together put tickly out of her books scavenger hunt... One of the book's you supposed to bury a page or hide a page in the neighbor's yard... I'm so looking forward to that my neighbors think I've gone mad anyway... If that's activity involves the police I will post a footnote as to how it went lol... I have no shame in saying that I am quite an adult at least in body maybe not in spirit... And I love this book... It's a permission book to do what the heck you want to do anyway without really hurting anybody... I am a bit envious of something creativity I have seen on Pinterest... I suggest you maybe check it out a little bit prior to trashing in your book... Gives you a little bit more idea what can be done Thinking Out of the Box Etc... Not wanting to be outdone on think of a way to dispose of this page today I set it on fire LOL just a bit of the page no fire department involved... I've been terrified of fire since I was a kid... It was some kind of a release of that fear for me... My sister had a bad fire that I lost my nephew in... I was just a kid myself so I'm sure my fear of fires quite understandable... This book is long time coming to me I wish I would have had something like this years ago but Grateful I found found it now... And I'm a neat freak by the way... If your lease bit interested in writing ..keeping a journal... Or want to be looking quite mad to the neighbors as you hide a page from a book in their yard..get it.. not for your kids.. not for your grandkids but for yourself or maybe for granny... I have no doubt any free-spirited person would enjoy it
My granddaughter (7 year old) let us know about this before she came for her three week vacation with us. Bought it in time for her visit and did we ever have fun working on the journal. The journal provided us all with a way to fill in the gaps in our weeks and she had a great time 'wrecking' her journal.I would recommend any parent or grandparent to get this journal for their reading age children. You will have a great time with it and your children!
This book has exceeded all expectations so far. I suffer from very bad anxiety and depression and have been using this book as an outlet and somewhat as a therapy tool. The pages all have different assignments or tasks on them that push you out of your comfort zone and create a wonderful feeling of freedom when they are done. Page one said "crack the spine" which I had a very hard time with, but with each speed bump of ripping out pages, folding, cutting, crinkling, messing, glueing, sticking, I feel more and more free and love this book that much more every time. Some like "color outside the lines" are very easy, while others push you to be weird like "collect dead bugs". Definitely forces you to think outside the box! I highly suggest this book to anyone who needs a creative outlet for emotional reasons, or just wants to have a good bit of fun! I will be buying another to replace it and start all over when I'm done.
Just like her other journals, full of awesomeness! I bought this one for my seven year old son to complete during Summer Vacation. I had originally bought the travel one for me and my niece and we would work on them through Summer and then compare them right before school starts. My son got jealous and kept wanting to finish my pages so I bought one for him and his aunt (this exact one) so they can do the same. It's entertaining and it gets him moving and uses some creativity. Much better than sitting at his computer! Definitely gets him active and thinking and we take it with us so he has even more to add to it.
Sold as a set of 4. Description made books seem different. Got the set. They are all the same exact books with different covers. If you want 4 of the same book.......go for it
I really LOVE this journal! It’s everything your not supposed to do, to a book! But you can do it to this one! Favorite page: rub dirt on this page! That was awesome!!!! It’s wonderful for my anxiety! I’d suggest it to anyone who has anxiety!! There’s a subcontious relief that happens! Instead of following all the rules in life this is a personal outlet of “wrongdoingâ€. LOL!!! Love love love! Definitely getting the rest of the series!!!!
My daughter bought this for herself and she loves it. She takes it everywhere with us. It becomes a family thing so we can see what we can do. Like one page is walk on the book, another would be to put as many of those little stickers that gk on fruit I. The book so them we are on the hunt for those. It's a very creative book and I think she really likes it cause it's everything you have been told to never do with books. It's great. Would be a wonderful gift to others. I highly recommend it. Hours of fun and self expression.
